Abundant Harvest Organics (large box)

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to support the Slow Food Movement and gain an understanding of where your food comes from AND be able to eat it fresh and in season. Find a farm near you!

We Sisters, subscribe to Abundant Harvest Organics, a California farm-share delivery service (similar to a CSA). They provide a weekly box of healthy, seasonal, organic produce to customers all over California. Their organic produce comes from California organic family farmers and is amazingly FRESH! They also have add-ons such as organic meat (beef, chicken, turkey, fish, pork), organic dairy (including butter, cheese, raw milk and pastured eggs) and nuts, beans and herbs.

This week I am going to pick up heaps of organic apricots, 45 lbs. to be exact. I can’t wait! (15 lbs. for $10) What am I going to do with 45 lbs. of apricots? Well, we will certainly eat many of them fresh, as this is the most nutritious and enjoyable form, as far as I am concerned, and then what ever is left over I will preserve as stewed apricot halves and jam. YUM! I am so excited!

The following week I’m going to try my hand at preserving cherries. (10 lbs. for $26.65)

So, are you drooling yet? Ready to sign up for a CSA? I’m telling you, it’s a fantastic opportunity to support your community, eat seasonal and get phenomenal food for a great price!

Check out localharvest.org to learn more about how you and your family can enjoy fresh organic produce for the price of conventional. Join today and start enjoying bountiful boxes of produce!
